What’s included?

Standard USD fees only. Payment processing, taxes, refunds and promotions are excluded, and per-task rounding can differ at checkout.

Microworker’s minimum wallet funding is $20, separate from the job cost. Verified costs $50 per 30 days and currently waives the platform fee; include it if you choose it.

VAT on Prolific’s fee is excluded. Prolific’s hourly pay floor (£6 / $8) usually means higher rewards per participant than this example.

What to check before you move.

Use Microworker for objective, short tasks

Website or app tests with a clear outcome, short surveys and data checks fit a fixed reward and automated review. Studies that need a managed participant pool, deception protocols or longitudinal panels do not.

Pay people fairly

Prolific enforces a minimum hourly rate. On Microworker you set the reward per task, so estimate the time it takes and pay accordingly; the price guide on the posting page suggests a reward for your task.

Data and consent

If your survey collects personal data, you handle consent and privacy in your own survey tool. Microworker does not run ethics review.

Choose what fits your work.

Is Microworker a research panel like Prolific?

No. It is a task marketplace. You can target countries, devices, skills and languages, but it does not provide research-panel screening or ethics review.
